Clare Shillinglaw

Pilates 4 All Owner & Instructor

I originally started practising Pilates in 2008 however Pilates 4 All wasn’t formed until 2016, when I experienced my own health issues. It was then that I really embraced the world of Pilates and went on to become a qualified teacher.

I love nothing more than passing on the teachings and benefits of this wonderful way of body conditioning. I know more than most what it’s like to have deteriorating mobility issues so my main goal as a Pilates teacher is to help my clients explore, strengthen and improve their movement patterns.

My motivation and personal experience

I had muscular and alignment problems with my knees, back, neck and shoulders. Pilates corrected a number of the bone and muscle alignment and strengthening problems I had and gave me my health and life back.

The catalyst for my motivation has very much been my personal experience of having joint and muscular problems. I had predominantly led a lifestyle of dance, health and fitness from a young age, however, early onset Osteoarthritis overtook my body and my way of exercising changed completely.

I love nothing more than passing on the teachings and benefits of this wonderful way of body conditioning. I know more than most what it’s like to have deteriorating mobility issues so my main goal as a Pilates teacher is to help my clients explore, strengthen and improve their movement patterns.

Clients can take what they have learned in the studio and apply it to their everyday lives, with the general consensus being that by incorporating Pilates into their daily tasks all your movements will be more efficient. For me, Pilates is not just practising and teaching a series of exercises, it’s a way of life.
